    Terms and Conditions

    Last updated: March 2026

In these terms, "I," "me," or "my" refers to the independent individual operator of CaseLab.gg. "CaseLab" or "the site" refers to the website at caselab.gg and all its pages. CaseLab is an independently run project. By accessing or using CaseLab, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use CaseLab.

    1. What CaseLab Is

CaseLab.gg is an independent review, ranking, and promo tracking platform for CS2 gambling and case opening sites. I publish rankings, reviews, house edge analysis, promo code listings, player reviews, dispute documentation, Q&A, educational guides, and free-to-play case simulators.

The Case Simulator: The site features an interactive case simulator designed to replicate the odds of third-party case opening sites. The goal of this tool is purely educational: to calculate the real Return to Player (RTP), visualize the math with graphs, and show you exactly how unforgiving the actual odds are over time.

You cannot deposit, wager, win, or lose real money, crypto, or CS2 skins on the CaseLab simulator.

It uses virtual, non-redeemable data solely to demonstrate the mathematics of case opening odds and return over time. It is an educational tool and not a gambling product.

The simulator relies on published (public) odds from third-party sites, which those operators may change at any time without notice.

CaseLab is not a gambling operator. I don't run real-money games, process bets, accept deposits, manage withdrawals, or facilitate gambling in any form. CS2 skins and cryptocurrency assets fluctuate in value.

No content on this site constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice.

I make every effort to keep information accurate. But the gambling landscape changes constantly and I cannot guarantee accuracy at the moment you read it. If you find an error, email contact@caselab.gg or reach out directly on Discord and I'll correct it as fast as possible.

    2. Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to use CaseLab. The platforms I review involve real-money gambling regardless of legal label (sweepstakes, entertainment, virtual currency). If you're under 18, you may not access this site, sign in with Steam, or submit content in any form. By clicking "Login with Steam," you affirmatively consent and legally warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

In jurisdictions where the legal gambling age is higher than 18, the higher age applies. It's your responsibility to know and follow the laws where you live.

    3. Steam Authentication

CaseLab uses Steam OpenID for user authentication. When you sign in, I receive your public Steam profile information: Steam ID, profile name, and profile avatar.

I do not receive or store your Steam password. Authentication is handled entirely by Valve's Steam OpenID system. Your credentials never pass through CaseLab. I also don't access your Steam inventory, trade history, friend list, email, or any private account data.

Your Steam name and avatar are displayed alongside your reviews, disputes, and other submissions. This is intentional. The CS2 skin gambling industry operates almost entirely on reputation. Most sites are unlicensed, regulatory oversight is minimal, and players who get treated unfairly often have no recourse.

Tying reviews to real Steam accounts adds credibility and accountability for both players and operators. Anonymous accusations carry no weight in this space, and verified accounts make the entire review system more trustworthy for everyone.

By signing in with Steam, you agree to have your public Steam profile information displayed on CaseLab in connection with your submissions.

    4. Affiliate Links and Monetization

CaseLab is an independent project, but running it isn't free. Here is exactly how the site handles monetization and links:

My Affiliate Links: CaseLab may contain referral links to third-party CS2 gambling and case opening platforms. When you click through one of my links and register or deposit, I may earn a commission.

Affiliate links never appear on the ranking page. Rankings, scores, and editorial positions are strictly based on data and are not influenced by affiliate relationships.

I do not accept paid reviews, hidden sponsorships, or paid placement agreements to boost a site's score.

User-Generated Promo Codes / Affiliate Links: CaseLab also allows players to submit and share their own personal promo codes and unique deals through exclusive referral links.

Commissions: If you use a promo code or link submitted by another user, that user (not CaseLab) may receive a commission or bonus from the gambling site.

Verification & Limits: I make a genuine effort to verify user-submitted codes to ensure they actually provide the exclusive perks claimed. However, I do not control the sites. Operators can (and often do) void, change, or reduce bonus amounts at any time without warning. Because of this, I cannot legally guarantee that any user-submitted code will always work or deliver the exact bonus described.

Full Transparency: I believe in being transparent with my readers about how CaseLab is monetized. For a fuller explanation of how CaseLab generates revenue to support the site and keep the simulators free, please see the About page. By using CaseLab, you acknowledge that you may encounter both CaseLab-operated and user-generated monetization links.

    5. Gambling Disclaimer

This is important. Please read it!

Gambling involves real financial risk. No matter how much case opening sites and "gamified marketplaces" try to dodge the "gambling" label, do not let them fool you. You'll see in my tools and data analysis that the math doesn't lie: every single one of these platforms operates with a mathematical house edge. Over time, the platform profits and the player loses. This is how math works across every game, every case, every site I tested (and played on over the years).

I do not recommend gambling. I provide information for people who have already decided to gamble and want to make informed decisions about finding the least predatory options, because even the "fairest" sites are still mathematically built to take your money.

    I am not responsible for:

    • Financial losses you incur on any gambling platform, whether or not you found it through CaseLab.gg.
    • Disputes between you and a gambling operator, including account bans, withdrawal delays, denied payouts, or selective enforcement of terms.
    • Decisions you make based on CaseLab content. I provide the data, analysis, and context. You make the call and bear the risk. In fact, if you use the free tools I've built on this site, it should become brutally clear that profiting from gambling in the long run is impossible.
    • The accuracy, fairness, or legality of any third-party gambling site. A favorable review is not a guarantee of future conduct.
    • Changes to any site's terms, odds, bonuses, or policies after my content is published.

If gambling is affecting your wellbeing, finances, or relationships, stop and seek help:

    • BeGambleAware — Information and support
    • GamCare — Free counselling
    • Gambling Therapy — Global support
    • Gamblers Anonymous — Peer support

    6. User Accounts

When you sign in to CaseLab via Steam:

    • Your account is linked to your Steam profile. One Steam account, one CaseLab account.
    • Your public Steam name and avatar are displayed alongside your submissions to keep the review system accountable.
    • You must not use your account to post fraudulent, defamatory, or intentionally misleading content.

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. This includes spam, fake reviews, duplicate accounts, abuse of the dispute system, manipulation of ratings, or other conduct that undermines CaseLab's integrity. Where appropriate, action may be taken without prior notice. Where required by applicable law and where relevant electronic contact details are available, I will provide the affected user with a statement of reasons for the restriction, suspension, or termination.

    7. User-Generated Content; Notice and Action

CaseLab allows users to submit player reviews, dispute reports, Q&A answers, and promo code submissions. By submitting content:

    • You confirm it's truthful and based on your own genuine experience. Fabricated reviews, false accusations, and content submitted on behalf of a gambling operator will be removed. If caught, your account gets banned.
    • You grant CaseLab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, and use your submission on the site and related channels like social media and newsletters. This license survives account deletion.
    • You understand your content is public. Reviews and dispute reports are visible to all visitors.
    • You are responsible for masking personal information in screenshots and evidence. Don't include your real name, email, financial details, or sensitive data in publicly visible uploads. I'm not liable for personal information you choose to publish.
    • You retain ownership of your content. The license lets me use it on CaseLab, but you remain the author and copyright holder.

Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), CaseLab acts as a hosting service in relation to user-generated content. I do not generally pre-screen or endorse user submissions. If you believe specific content on CaseLab is illegal or otherwise unlawful, you may submit a notice by email to contact@caselab.gg. Notices should include: (i) a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is alleged to be illegal or unlawful, (ii) the exact URL or other precise location of the content, (iii) your name and email address, unless not required by law, and (iv) a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in the notice is accurate and complete. Where contact details are provided, I will acknowledge receipt of the notice without undue delay and notify the sender of the decision taken in relation to the reported content, together with information on any available means of redress. Notices will be processed in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary, and objective manner.

What I May Remove: Content that violates these terms, contains spam, is abusive, contains demonstrably false claims, infringes on third-party rights, or is posted to manipulate ratings. Negative reviews are protected. Honest criticism of a gambling platform is never grounds for removal, even if the operator disagrees. I only remove reviews that are fabricated, not reviews that are unfavorable.

    8. Dispute Submissions

CaseLab's dispute tracker lets players document unfair treatment by gambling operators: denied withdrawals, unjustified bans, selective enforcement of terms (which is quite common in reputation-based sites), and similar issues.

    When submitting a dispute:

    • You may be asked for your email to communicate privately. Your email is never shared with the operator or published.
    • Your written account and evidence may be made publicly visible. Mask personal details before uploading.
    • I review disputes for credibility and may ask follow-up questions. Submitting a dispute doesn't guarantee action or that the operator will respond.
    • I have no legal authority over any gambling operator. The dispute tracker exists solely as a public log to provide transparency around player experiences. It is an informational tool.

Operator Retaliation: CaseLab assumes no liability for any retaliatory actions taken by gambling operators against your account (such as bans, frozen funds, or deleted accounts) as a direct or indirect result of you publishing a dispute on this platform.

I reserve the right to reject disputes that are frivolous, lack evidence, involve events older than 12 months, or where the player clearly violated the operator's published terms.

    9. Intellectual Property

I put hundreds of hours into writing these deep-dive reviews, building the simulators, and crunching the math. I literally spend my own money (and lose it) testing these platforms for months just to make sure the data I give you is accurate and not just marketing fluff. Because of that, all original content on CaseLab (the articles, custom code, design, and analysis) is my intellectual property.

Please don't be lazy and scrape or copy my articles to paste on your own affiliate site. You also may not frame CaseLab's tools within another website or use my logo to imply I endorse a site I don't.

If you want to quote a section of a review, share a stat, or reference my data on Reddit or your own site, that is completely fine and encouraged! Just be cool about it and give proper attribution and a working link back to the original page.

(For the record: CaseLab.gg itself utilizes publicly available factual data — such as case odds, prices, and drop rates — from third-party platforms for the purpose of journalistic review, mathematical analysis, and educational simulation under Fair Use principles.)

    10. Third-Party Sites

CaseLab links to third-party sites and external resources. I don't control these sites and am not responsible for their content, privacy practices, terms, game fairness, or how they handle your data, funds, or account. When you leave CaseLab through any link, you're subject to that site's policies.

    11. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use CaseLab to violate any law, submit false or misleading content, impersonate another person, interfere with the site's security or functionality, scrape data for commercial purposes, post spam or unsolicited advertising, manipulate reviews or dispute outcomes, or damage CaseLab's integrity.

    12. Limitation of Liability

CaseLab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damages arising from your use of CaseLab or any linked platform, financial losses from gambling, operator retaliation, errors in content, site downtime, or unauthorized access to your data.

This applies regardless of legal theory, even if I've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing here excludes liability for anything that can't be excluded under applicable law.

    13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CaseLab and its operator from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your use of CaseLab, your violation of these terms, your user-generated content, your gambling activity on third-party platforms, or any dispute between you and a gambling operator.

    14. Dispute Resolution (With CaseLab.gg)

If you have a dispute with CaseLab.gg (not with a gambling site), I'd prefer to resolve it informally. Email contact@caselab.gg.

If that doesn't work, these terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Legal proceedings go to the competent courts of Romania unless EU consumer protection regulations provide an alternative.

    15. Modifications

I may update these terms. Changes take effect on publication. The date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes, I'll post a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

    16. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it gets modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed. Everything else stays in force.

    17. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and CaseLab regarding your use of the site.
